The Challenge

Westmead Children's Hospital required something entertaining and engaging for children in the Clinical Trials waiting room. We made it our goal to design something that distracts children from the hospital environment, transforms the experience into a positive memory and makes children keen to return for their next appointment.

The Big Idea

Dreamville is an interactive wall like no other. We wanted to cater to children's love for technology, without sacrificing their equal interest in exploring objects and spaces. It features tangible elements such as doors and wheels that interact with the touch screen they are mounted on.

Create

Unlike traditional drawing applications, children's drawings are automatically animated and come to life before their eyes.

Explore

Children who engage with the physical objects can discover the animations made in the 'CREATE' mode. What will fly out next?

Play

Children help their characters win in a game of hide-and-seek by completing mini-games and unlocking hiding places.
